OOO! DEBUT! – Hannah Bahng

New music, new experiences, and a new side in the world of Hannah. Hannah Bahng is a 19-year-old “songwriter, producer, director…”. She is also a social media personality, independent artist, entrepreneur, and musician! On YouTube, you get the best of all worlds with vlogs, music covers, and dancing. This bright soul is releasing her first album on July 14th!

I would like to mention this since this is very admirable. The team behind this project is very small and close. Only Hannah and her Manager. And together they have made “Bahng Entertainment”. One producer aside from Hannah is Zion Alcindor. I’m not sure if I have the right one, but from my research he is a College Graduate and self-employed music producer!!! Another producer for this project is Andrew Luce who is pretty well known in the industry (I will not put the artist he’s worked with because we are focusing on Hannah today! :)). Hannah states that she has “been working on this project for a year and a half now”! She kept it a secret and announced it finally 3 days ago. Were you guys calling it like I was? I was waiting for this day. It is finally being released this month on the 14th.

In my opinion, keeping a team small lets you have time to figure things out at your own pace. It also helps make sure the moves you are making are right and are moves that are being made on your own. It brings out a more authentic vision of your project. It is admirable because you are a part of the process and a part of your own brand. The freedom it gives you is rewarding and worth every minute. Please support independent artists! And independent companies (as one ourselves, we definitely know how difficult it can get). They go through a lot of stress and they have a lot on their plate. Especially at such a young age doing all of this, I hope she can get some time to reflect and be proud of how hard she worked. Send her kind and supporting words. And most importantly support this debut! I certainly will be in another blog when I get the chance.

I would also like to say, please keep Hannah as Hannah. She is her own artist respectively. There is no need to compare or try to mention anyone else but herself. When I say this, you know what I mean. We see this a lot and it gets really old for everyone involved. Many times people end up tying families together. As well as comparing other artists to one another. There is room for everyone on this planet we call creativity. Or for the sake of this project, in this sea we call creativ-ity (bars) :). All jokes aside leave Hannah to be Hannah (I’ll be waiting for the search results to be updated as well. ASAP.). Let her flourish as an artist independently. Support her for her as an artist. I’m sure everyone including Chan (and the whole family, fandoms, etc.) would want you to do the same. Support women in music and independent artist. Let’s do this!

I cannot wait to hear more about this upcoming debut. Hannah has a bright and fun personality and is really down to earth. I have been watching her for a while now (on youtube and other videos of interactions irl) and I think that this is huge. I know she is very excited and I am for her. From the covers she has done on youtube she has a really calming vibe so I can’t wait to hear more of it. I wish her nothing but the best on her musical endeavors. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us. Speaking of store…you can preorder this project starting tomorrow(July 7th @ 11:59pm) on bahngshop.com there’s many versatile options. Some options are CDs, Vinyls, and signed versions. Each one is different. You should check out the unboxing video on her channel. It was very funny. Some come with photos, photocards, stickers, mini bottles with messages (fortunes and threats???(joking)), lyric sheets, post cards, bookmarks, and other goodies like a letter. You may or may not hear the ocean too…but don’t take my word for it. There’s holographic photocards which are limited quantities as well. Another incentive is the 1st 20 customers that purchases the album get to video call (if they want), first 400 receive a handwritten postcard note. If you are into extras with your album like I am (sorry I am spoiled now), you should definitely check this one out. The polaroids are only available with signed vinyls. And if you’re looking for an extra rare one, Hannah mentions that there is a little poop she drew on only one of them since her manager stopped her form drawing more. So…if you want a rare polaroid, you have to go pre-order! Then tag her if you end up collecting this rare poop. XD That’s one character and there’s also Zimmie, and a kola (that may or may not be the doodle form of Hannah).

With all seriousness Hannah and her manager went all out for a first-time project. You can tell they took their time planning every detail for this project all the way down to the website. She just uploaded an unboxing video on her channel. She mentions that she drew or wrote she did on her own with Procreate. Meaning she is a part of the whole process from drafting to unboxing. That’s rare these days and we love to see it! Even more reason to support!

I love the concept photos too as I really love the beach and everything to do with it. It looks really calming and looks like a great summertime. I don’t have any predictions for the music right now. I guess I’m just going in without many thoughts so I can hear it for what it is. July 14th…you know what it is. It will be on all streaming platforms as well so on drop day, you know what to do! Remember streaming matters, but (if you can) physically supporting the artist matters too. Monterey wise, physical copies. Support wise, everything matters. Every effort is significant. The CD will include 2 tracks: Side A: ‘perfect blues’ and Side B: ‘OLeander’. I’m very curious about the titles and why they are formatted the way they are (spelling, upper case vs lower case significance, and just titles in general). I know there are reasons behind everything so I can’t wait to hear it. I hope there will be more press and interviews soon about the behind the scenes and the concepts of this project. I’m looking forward to it.

Check out her debut single ‘perfect blues’ (and whole CD of course)! I think that this will be really refreshing and fun. I am excited to see this especially since she is really happy with it. Sending lots of love to you Hannah!
