BTS’s Jungkook’s solo digital debut single “Seven” has just been released and I have some thoughts. The song was in full English, and it featured the American rapper, Latto. The song is a fresh summer song that features clear, beautiful vocals from Jungkook coupled with a flowing verse by Latto. I thoroughly enjoyed the song upon first listen and think that this collaboration is nothing short of a success. I love that Latto was a part of the music video and nothing felt out of place. Actress Han So-Hee, who you may know from Nevertheless and more, played seemingly the girlfriend of Jungkook’s character. It seems that Jungkook’s character is a complete nuisance to Han So-Hee’s with his behavior seeming rather young in comparison to her mature character. He seems to frustrate her all week (as the concept featured “seven” days a week), but by the end she seemed to give in and take his hand to accept him after all. I really enjoyed the video and again thought the song was just amazing. Perfect summer song and I’m sure it will quickly be at the top of the charts.
