Review/Personal Thoughts –

I have had the pleasure to listen to the two tracks that have already been released on August 9th and August 10th. I’ll have to say my favorite of the two is definitely ‘Rainy Days’. The lofi chill vibes put me in such a relaxed mood and it exudes such a vibe I expect from V. Yet, the vibe is also different from other tracks he’s released in and outside of the group. I can envision listening to this track on a rainy day where I’m doing nothing, but chilling in bed. The music video was chill with nostalgic comfortable vibes. I liked the inclusion of Yeontan in the video and he was just so cute. V also looked quite happy and comfortable in the video which I enjoyed watching. From my interpretation, the song seems to be about the male character (not sure if it’s V or not) and how he misses the good days with the person he loves or is attracted to. It seems he remembers all the good and wants to start anew. On rainy days he thinks of them and wishes he could reunite with them.

“Rainy days

I’m thinkin’ ’bout you, what to say

Wish I knew how to find the way

Right back to you, on rainy days like” – V

The first released track ‘Love Me Again’ was a chill track with comfortable vibes. The song is about the main character (presumably V) and his love for the other person. He wants them to love him again and he thinks of their current lives and how they’d feel seeing one another with somebody else. He doesn’t want anyone else and just wants to be happy with them. The reason I didn’t favor this track over ‘Rainy Days’ was because of the chorus. I preferred some notes being different from what they were, but that’s just personal preference. Still such a calm listen and it has gotten better the more I’ve listened. The music video had such a retro vibe with shiny outfits and cool effects. I liked the vibe of the music video and I went in expecting something totally different and was pleasantly surprised.

“I wish you would love me again

No, I don’t want nobody else

I wish you could love me again, again” – V

Overall, the songs were amazing and I’m excited for more of V’s solo songs and the album release in my birthday month! Virgos unite! Let’s support V on his solo endeavors and make sure to stream Blue when it releases!
