Coachella. A thought log. In…Thoughts & Layers
It’s officially time. How are we feeling?
The time has finally come for festival season to absorb our feeds. So, if you need a breather…put the devices away. And when you come back, open back up to Regal Attraction :). We’re always here for you.
My thoughts on Coachella I think are pretty normal for a music lover. I’m not too familiar with everyone on the lineup, but music is just awesome, no? This also gives a platform for some artist to be exposed to more people. Giving them that extra push. And it also gives the audience more versatile sounds. And new artist that they can listen to. As a fan…it can be bittersweet. Seeing your favs become more popular to the mainstream crowd. It’s amazing because they deserve it, but then you want to keep them to yourself as well. Since this community they have was so sacred. But you know…a way to support is to be happy for them. And open your heart to them looking at other people. And I hope the artist knows this is an equal opportunity for you to do the same (by looking at other artists). And for non-stans…this is just the way of talking right now. I guess the jealous relationship between artist and fan goes a long way. Biggest takeaway? We have to be supportive. Let’s show love to one another! 🙂
Personally, I know I am very excited for ATEEZ to perform as an ATINY! They called it Chellateez! Watching their journey has been fun. The “Road to Desert” has been a long one. I also saw a couple of clips on ig with them rehearsing. That was really cool. I cannot wait to see. Articles coming out soon! There are so many performances I want to see. It’s a variety of artist and stages I am hoping for. Especially the ones that transform the stage into their own. There’s a lot of artists that have this stage presence and I’m honestly just so excited. Sadly…another year where I’m not attending…
There are some Coachella staples/pros like Tyler, The Creator and DJ Snake. There are also many first timers performing as well like LE SSERAFIM, Reneé Rapp, and The Rose. Unfortunately, Tyla had to pull from the lineup (I know many-including Mingi was disappointed to hear), but we’re wishing her a great recovery! I’m curious on how the Hatsune Miku performance will go. I watched a concert before, but I never thought Hatsune Miku would be attending Coachella. “What will it look like” is the main thoughts of Coachella. That and the setlist. I know that organizing takes a while to get done.
So many performers have prepared hard for the stage. And honestly, for me I admire every little aspect of performance from the backstage to onstage peeps-much love to ya! So much respect for the crew and for the dream teams that make all of this happen. And for the fans who come and support. The performers worked really hard and so I know the pressure they might have, I must say…I hope they don’t get too stressed. Because you are on a stage many dream about, you have to be selfish and take that in. Not only taking it in but making it your moment, so that you can recall it and say: “That was fun, I had fun”. And genuinely mean it, if that’s your experience. Same goes for the audience. Vibe with one another. The energy is passed around. Live in the setting you’re in. I promise if you try it, you won’t regret it. Like Tyler, The Creator’s billboard said in paraphrase: Put your phones downnnnnn. Interact with the artist up there. Sure, every now and then capture the memory, but also live in the moment. These are unforgettable memories and so I hope you cherish them.
So much to unpack and so much to do. I wish all the performers the best time. And if anyone who is performing is reading this…first of all…hi! Would love to interview you, but that’s for a different message! 🙂 I hope you make lots of memories and have the best time ever! Live in the moment and don’t worry too much. Just have fun! And for the attendees of this fun fest…remember a few things. Safety first. Safety is very important in any situation. Try to get a map to where everything is. And allow yourself the time to memorize where the important stuff is. Or at least familiarize yourself with the area as much as you can. Doing this is also just making you aware and it can be very helpful-even if it’s just for the vibes. Make sure to stay hydrated. Yes, we can be thirsty figuratively, but not literally. This is a desert we are talking about. Make sure to drink some water. Try to be visual not only for yourself, but for others around you. It’s not your duty, but it’s the right thing to do. We’re all human! Crowds can get huge so if you feel like you need a breather. Step away and enjoy it from afar. If you are watching at a watch party, these same things apply. And if you are home alone, watching that is cool too! Make sure to drink water, maybe put on some lens to help the eye strain as well as adding to a cute fit. Because yes. You can still dress up while at home! I live for that (and well this blog lol). Post it online if you want to (and tag us maybe>.<). And lastly…checklist. Whatever your checklist is. Find it, remember it, and keep it. You won’t regret it, trust me XD.
Who are you most excited about? What songs are you most anticipating? Any predictions on what’s to come? Let us know in the comments below! This is a slow transition into the segment we revealed early last year called: ‘Uncomfy Cushion’. A safe space for long paragraphs and opinions. This was a comfy cushion, but there will be times where it’s not. I hope you enjoyed, and I’ll see you soon (hopefully with more content)! Anyways, let us know what you think! We love you. Have fun. And send positive comments to the performers. Show your support. And see you on the next post.
