The Open Book and CSUN’s Sigma Tau Delta are collaborating for a launch party for the magazine, The Scarlet Review. What a day, what a day. Save the dates below. This article is going to take you on an adventure. 

Firstly, it is a release party for CSUN’s Sigma Tau Delta. Congratulations! It also will have a fundraiser and open mic! 20% of all your purchases will go to the organization when you mention them at the checkout. Who can say no to that?! On top of that the copies of the Scarlet Review will be in store ready for purchase with all sale profits going to the organization. 

The event will take place on June 6, 2024, from 5-7pm. We would love for you to come. It is located at 8727 Tampa Ave. Northridge CA 91324. At The Open Book, Northridge.

The Open Book has a couple of locations, but the one we will focus on today is located in Northridge, California. They have a large inventory of stuff. The Instagram is very active and fun to watch. And they offer something for all ages. It has been going strong for 4 years and was a treasure for many of their “bookworms”. Especially locals and students around the CSUN area.

A day ago, they posted to their Instagram with a sad update. The Open Book will be closing their doors in “search for a new home”. And they also announced starting May 3, 2024, the entire store will be 50% off. Please support the store and give them encouraging words as we approach the final days of this set location. There is a lot of cool events that go on in the store as well like this launch party and many more. You can find details on their Instagram. It’s a good way to support the organizations and locally and independent businesses. Which is very important. Remember what we always say. Support comes in many forms and is not limited to one method. 

If The Open Book owners are reading this, I see a lot of people in the comments very upset with the store closing. And I hope that you will be able to relocate close to CSUN. It is an amazing resource and just a nice location in general. And bookworms! I think that it’s important to look at the memories. And with every ending, there is always a beautiful beginning.
