Jaehyun has done it again, captivating fans in the newest trailer for his debut movie, You Will Die in 6 Hours. The film is directly adapted from the Japanese novel, 6-jikan Go ni Kimi wa Shinu by Takano Kazuaki. The mystery thriller trailer offers a look at snippets of the events that take place in the movie. Many of which seem to be confusing for Jeong Yoon, played by Park Ju Hyun, and scary for the general audience and characters in the film. Jaehyun’s character, Jun Woo, seems to be an individual that can see into the future and is aware that in six hours, Jeong Yoon will be killed (for reasons unknown). The police seem to have tabs on him though, as they tell the female lead that he is a serial killer. This truly amped up the stakes and made everything more tense. Finding out her short amount of time left, having trust issues, and fearing for her life, Jeong Yoon has a lot to battle throughout the film, and Jun Woo surely isn’t helping in this case.
Thoughts on 6시간 후 너는 죽는다 :
This trailer was VERY interesting to me. I am already a massive fan of Jaehyun from his work inside and outside of his group (NCT 127). I am extremely proud of him for taking this role on and making his big screen debut. I remember at some point when asked about roles he’d like to play, he responded by saying he’d love to play different types of characters. It seems he’s already off to a great start. From Dear.M to this new movie, he is already playing vastly different characters, and he’s pulling it off really well (so far as I can tell).
I am typically intrigued by the mystery thriller genre of movies, especially KDramas. They always seem to offer some interesting twists and turns as well as great cinematography. I think, from watching dramas like Vincenzo and When the Camellia Blooms, I’ve grown a taste for dramas with great action scenes, fun moments here and there, and most of all a complex plot that can make me react in unexpected ways. I am looking forward to this film and I once again want to congratulate Jaehyun on his movie debut!
